Split the image

Open the Instagram Grid Maker, choose your photo and keep 3 columns. Choose 1, 2 or 3 rows. Tiles are cropped square and numbered in posting order.

Post in reverse order

Instagram shows the newest post first (top-left), so post tile 1 (bottom-right) first and finish with the top-left tile. Post them back-to-back so nothing lands in between.

The 4:5 profile grid

Instagram's profile grid now shows posts as 4:5 rectangles, which crops square tiles slightly at the top and bottom. Keep important details away from the tile edges.

Make it worth it

Grids work for launches, announcements and portfolio showcases. Each tile also appears alone in followers' feeds, so make sure individual tiles still look intentional.
