How to Make a QR Code for Your Restaurant Menu (Free, No Expiry)

A menu QR code lets guests open your menu on their phone in a second. Done right, it costs nothing and never stops working.

Step 1: put your menu online

The QR code just points to a web address. Upload your menu as a page on your website (best for Google too) or as a PDF in Google Drive or Dropbox with link sharing turned on.

Use a link you control. If you ever change the menu, update the page or file at the same address and the printed code keeps working.

Step 2: create the code

Paste the menu link into the free QR Code Generator, pick your brand colour (keep it dark on a light background) and download the PNG. Codes made here are static, so they never expire and nobody can switch them off.

Want your logo in the middle? Use QR Code with Logo – it uses high error correction so the code still scans.

Step 3: print it the right size

Print it at least 2.5 × 2.5 cm (1 × 1 inch) for table tents; bigger for wall posters. Leave a white margin around the code, use matte paper to avoid glare, and add a short line like "Scan for menu".

Avoid the 'free QR code' trap

Many QR sites make dynamic codes that redirect through their servers and stop working when a free trial ends. Check that the code contains your actual link.
